Compassion in Your Life - May 2011

Compassion in Your Life - May 7, 2011 - Khenmo Drolma taught the Tibetan Buddhist meditation techniques called Calm Abiding and Sending and Taking (Tonglen).  These ancient methods of training the mind deepen courage and peace of heart/mind.  We are better able to increase our ability to work with  difficulties that arise in life and be compassionately present to the suffering of others. In the training we identified sources of fear and overwhelming so that we could learn to open gradually and safely. As we become open and transparent, our minds come to peace and we better serve all beings.

A very meaningful and mindful day with 33 participants at the Fine Arts (Monastery) Building of Nipissing University on the Laurentian Escarpment in North Bay.
