Shield Sangha

About Us

The Shield Sangha - Pema Group started in 2004 with a small group studying and discussing books by Pema Chödrön. After sponsoring a workshop with Khenmo Drolma which 80 people attended in 2008, there was demand to move the group out of the living rooms of the participants to St. Andrew's Church.  We regularly have about a dozen or more active students eager to share and learn more about incorporating Buddhist principles into their everyday lives. We also have a weekly meditation group on Saturday mornings.

There is no charge to attend, but occassionally we make donations for use of the space and most participants purchase their own copy of the study book. Feel welcome to join the meeting anytime, even midstream in a book.  Click on Sangha List to join our mailing list and receive meeting notifications or read more about the meetings by clicking the "meetings" tab.
